What is needed to marry in Cuba?

To get married in Cuba you must be at least 18 years old, and you cannot be related by blood or adoption.

You will be required to be in the country for at least three days prior to your wedding day.

You will need to provide the following documentation:

  • Birth certificates.
  • A copy of your passport.
  • If divorced you will need your decree absolute certificate.
  • If widowed, you will need a death certificate for your spouse and a marriage certificate.
  • An affidavit of your single status if you have never been married before.

All your documents must be translated into Spanish and certified by the notary and then legalised by the Cuban consul.

At Love Cuba we can arrange all of this for you through our specialist wedding team, we ask that you send us all the relevant information to us at least 6 weeks prior to your arrival in Cuba.
